God Is Our Savior

To us there is but one God, the Father (1 Corinthians 8:4,6). Jesus is Lord, for God has made him both Lord and Christ and has highly exalted him (Acts 2:36; Ephesians 1; 1 Corinthians 11:3). Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:3; 2 Corinthians 11:31; Romans 15:6).

Isaiah 43:10-12 KJV (God does not say "We are God", or "We are Yahweh", because God is one)
10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord (YHVH), and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God (El) formed, neither shall there be after me.

Isaiah 45:18 KJV

God our Savior, does send saviors. This means that he is the originator of each savior that he sends, and any and all saviors come from him.

Obadiah 1:21 KJV
And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the Lord's.

Who is Jesus?

Jesus is the Christ/Messiah, which means he is the anointed and chosen one of God (John 20:31; Acts 10:38-42). He is the prophet that God told Moses he would raise up (Deuteronomy 18:18-19; Acts 3; John 7:15-17). God has made Jesus both Lord and Christ- Acts 2:22-39!

John 4 (Luke 23:35; 1 Peter 2:4-6)
25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.
26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

Jesus was "made" (genomenon- to come into existence, begin to be, receive being) of a woman (Galatians 4:4). He is the firstborn from the dead, and is alive forever more (Revelation 1:4-6,18; Colossians 1:17-20; 1 Corinthians 15:21-28). Adam, a man, who was the son of God, was made of the dust of the earth, and was disobedient to God (Genesis 2:7; Luke 3:38; Romans 5:19). Jesus, a man, who is the son of God (John 20:31), was made of a woman (Galatians 4:4) by the power and spirit of our God of the seed of David, and he was and is obedient to God (Luke 1:30-35; Matthew 1:20; John 8:28-29; John 15:10; Romans 5). Jesus is of the lineage of David and Abraham- Matthew 1:1, a real human! The first man is earthly, the second man is our Lord Jesus from heaven-meaning that he came from God (James 1:17; John 6:32,51; 1 Corinthians 15:45,47). By man came death and by man came the resurrection from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:21-23). Jesus redeemed us to God (Revelation 5:9; 1 Corinthians 15:21,23; Romans chapter 5). He is alive (Luke 24:39; Ephesians 1).

The man Jesus is our High Priest, and is the mediator between the one God and men (Romans 5:14; 1 Timothy 2:5). God made Jesus to be sin for us, who knew no sin (Isaiah 53; 1 Peter 2:19-25; 2 Corinthians 5:19-21; Hebrews 7:24-28; Hebrews 9). Jesus was tempted on all points just like we are yet without sin (Hebrews 4:14-15; James 1:14). Jesus willingly gave himself as an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savor (Ephesians 5:2,25; Luke 24:44-48; Acts 5:30-32; Acts 4:10-12; Acts 2:22-39). The true and living God, who is the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, raised him from the dead and he is alive forevermore (Ephesians 1; Romans 10:9; 1 Thessalonians 1:9-10).

God cannot be tempted of evil like we are tempted (which means he never was tempted like us at anytime because he is the Living God), neither does God tempt anyone to do evil (James 1:13-14). God is not a man, and God doesn't change (Hosea 11:9). The scriptures do not tell us that God "cannot" become a man, but the scriptures tell us what he "won't do". God said, "I change not..." (Malachi 3:6). God is not a man, nor is he the son of man, and he never changed. God  cannot lie (Numbers 23:19; Titus 1:2).

The God of our Lord Jesus is our God and Father (John 20:17; John 14:28; 1 Corinthians 11:3; 1 Peter 1:3; 2 John 1:3; Malachi 2:10).

John 8:58

John 8:58

Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

No, Jesus didn't mean that he existed before he began to exist. He was not claiming to be YHVH, who is his God and Father, or an angel for that matter-Hebrews 1:5. The God that sent Moses in Exodus 3:14-15 is the very same God who glorified his servant Jesus in Acts 3:13-15. Jesus is a man, and his God is YHVH (1 Timothy 2:5; Acts 2:22; Hebrews 7:24-28). Jesus said in verse 56 of John 8 that Abraham saw his day and rejoiced to see it and was glad. Before Abraham, Jesus was the Messiah, the son of man (John 4:25-26; Micah 5:2-5). Jesus was made of a woman in due time (Galatians 4:4; Luke 1:30-35).  From John 8:24, "if you do not believe that I am he, you will die in your sins", and then Jesus let them know that they would know who he is by saying, "When you have lifted up the son of man, then shall you know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself, but as my Father has taught me I speak these things"-John 8:24-29. Jesus-the son of man, does nothing of himself and only seeks the Father's will and not his own will, for Jesus is the son of the one who is God (John 5:18,30,43; John 7:15-17; 2 John 1:3; Ephesians 1:3,17). In John 8, Jesus refers to himself as a man who told them the truth, which he heard from God (John 8:40, John 7:15-18). All that Jesus said in John 8 is significant. Jesus was foreordained before the foundation of the world, and was slain from the foundation the world(Revelation 13:8), God has chosen us in Jesus before the foundation of the world (1 Peter 1:19-21; Revelation 13:8; Ephesians 1:4).

Whatever God says will come to pass or happen, we can speak as though it has already happened. Even though it has not literally happened yet. God's word will not return to him void (Isaiah 55:11). In John 17:5 Jesus said in prayer to his Father- the only true God, "And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was." Jesus had glory with the Father before the world was because God had purposed it, yet Jesus was made of a woman in due time (Galatians 4:4; Luke 1:30-35). John 17 states that the same glory that God has given him, he has given it to his disciples so that they may be one as Jesus and his Father are one. So that they may be one in Jesus and his Father, being all made perfect in one (John 17:20-23). The time that Jesus received honor and glory from God was not before he began to exist (before he was conceived- 2 Peter 1:17). Because of Jesus, it is now that we can be called the sons of God, crying abba Father (Mark 14:36; Romans 8:15; Galatians 4:6). We can be heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17). God is not an heir, because God is God.

Abraham saw Jesus' day by faith, not literally. David, a man after God's own heart, is both dead and buried and has not ascended to heaven, but it is said that David was seeing it before and spoke of the resurrection (Acts 2:29-36; Acts 13:22). According to Hebrews 11,  Abraham and many others all died in faith having not received the promises, "God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect." One day, all those that sleep (are dead) in Christ shall be raised together in the first resurrection (1 Thessalonians 4, Revelation 20). The second death has no power over those who are blessed to take part in the first resurrection. There is a resurrection of life and a resurrection of damnation (John 5:29, Daniel 12:2).

There were many prophecies concerning Jesus our Lord, which God spoke by the prophets (Matthew 2:23; Acts 3:20-23; Acts 13:23; Luke 1:68-70; Isaiah 53; Isaiah 11; Romans 15:12). The prophets and others knew of Jesus, God's anointed, before Jesus began to exist (John 5:43-47; Acts 10:38-42; Acts 4:27). Jesus opened up their understanding of the scriptures and expounded to them of the things concerning himself in them, after his resurrection in Luke 24: 25-27, 44-48.

Abraham rejoiced to see Jesus' day and he saw it.

The Kingdom of God

God created the earth to be inhabited, and the earth abides forever (Isaiah 45:18; Ecclesiastes 1:4; Psalms 104:5; Psalm 78:69). The Lord God will give Jesus, his son, the throne of his father David (Isaiah 9:6-7; Luke 1:30-35; Luke 22:28-30). The throne of David is on the earth, it is Jerusalem. There is never any indication that David's throne moved, or that David was on the throne in heaven at any time. The city of David, is Jerusalem, which is Zion, and it is on the earth (Psalms 48:2; Isaiah 52:1; 2 Samuel 5:7; 1 Chronicles 11:5; 2 Samuel 3:9-10; 1 Kings 2:12,24; 1 Kings 2:33,45; 1 Kings 3:6; Psalms 132:11; Jeremiah 17:25; Luke 1:32). Mount Zion cannot be removed and abides forever (Psalms 125:1; Joel 3:20).


When Jesus comes back he will sit on the throne of his glory, which is on the earth, that God gave to him (Zechariah 6:12-13; Matthew 19:28; Matthew 25:31). Jesus must reign a thousand years and when the last enemy is destroyed, which is death, Jesus will put down all rule, and all authority, and power, and deliver the kingdom to God, his Father, so that God will be all in all (Revelation 5:9-10; 1 Corinthians 15:23-28; Revelation 20: 4-15; Revelation 3:11-12; Revelation 21:1- 7). It will be manifest that Jesus is subject to God, who did put all things under him (1 Corinthians 11:3; 2 Corinthians 11:31; John 14:28). Of course God did not put himself under Jesus, so he is an exception (1 Corinthians 15:27-28). The meek will inherit the earth (Psalms 37:11; Matthew 5:5). The righteous will never be removed from the earth (Psalms 37:29; Proverbs 10:30). The wicked will be destroyed and cut off from the earth (Psalms 37:9, 20, 28, 34, 38).


Those who are dead in Christ at the time of Jesus' coming will be apart of the first resurrection, and some in Christ will still be alive at the time of Jesus' coming (they will be changed) , and will be caught up to meet the Lord Jesus in the air with the others (Revelation 20:4-6; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; 1 Corinthians 15:51-53). Jesus will raise the dead up in the last day by the power of God (John 6:39-40,44,54; 1 Corinthians 6:14; John 5:20-30). They of the first resurrection and all those in Christ, will reign with Jesus during his thousand year reign, and will not be hurt of the second death (Revelation 20:4,6). There is a resurrection of life, and a resurrection of damnation (John 5:29; Acts 24:15).


The rest of the dead, who are not in Christ are resurrected to damnation, after the thousand years. The second death is when the wicked are destroyed together in the lake of fire, being cut off from the earth (Psalms 37:20,38; Rev 20:12-15; Matthew 13:41-43, 49-50). To perish, means to be destroyed, and to not live anymore (Numbers 17:12; Genesis 7:23). The second death is "death", and there is no life when you are dead, you do not know anything or feel anything (Ecclesiastes 9: 3-6; 1 Kings 21:15). Souls are not immortal and do die, and have died, the dead cannot praise God (Psalms 88:10-12; Psalms 115:17; Joshua 10:28,35,37,39; Acts 3:23; Ezekiel 18:4; Revelation 16:3). We are to seek eternal life (immortality), and this means that we don't already have it (Romans 2:7). Jesus was asked what is to be done to inherit eternal life for a good reason (our souls are not immortal)- Mark 10:17, Luke 10:25, Luke 18:18. The dead can live again in the resurrection, we have hope in that Jesus our Lord, the first begotten of the dead, was raised from the dead by God (Hebrews 5:8-10; John 11:25; Acts 2:22-36, 10:38-42, 17:31, 24:15; 1 Peter 1:3,19-21; 1 Corinthians 15:12-23; Philippians 3:7-12; Revelation 20:4-6). Those who believe in God's only begotten Son and are obedient to the will of God will have everlasting life (John 3:16; Matthew 5:20, 7:21, 12:20, 18:3, 19:21-30; 1 John 5:11; 1 John 2:17; Romans 6; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11; Galatians 5:16-26). Truly God has given us eternal life and this life is in his son, amen- Romans 6:23, 1 John 5:11.


The city of Jesus' God, is called New Jerusalem, and in the future, it will come down out of heaven from Jesus' God, like a bride prepared for her husband (Revelation 3:11-12). All things will be made new, all the old things would have passed away. There will be peace on earth(Psalms 37:11). God himself will tabernacle among his people. The wicked, who were in the second death will have already been destroyed in the lake of fire, and cut off from the earth, so they will not see this kingdom (Revelation 21:1-7; John 3:3-7).


Jesus preached the gospel of the kingdom, for he said, "I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent" (Luke 4:43; Luke 8:1; Matthew 4:23, 9:35; Mark 1:14). Jesus sent his disciples to preach the kingdom of God (Luke 9:1-2, 59-62; Luke 16:16). They preached the kingdom of God in the Acts of the Apostles (Acts 8:12; Acts 20:25; Acts 28:30-31). In the instruction of the manner of prayer, Jesus mentions the kingdom saying, "Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:5-13)." The kingdom of God will come- Matthew 6:33.

God is one (Heis)

God is One. According to the Greek text, the form "heis" is used to describe God as being One (heis). It is a masculine singular adjective. It is the only form of this Greek word used when it is applied to God Himself (Mark 12:29,32; Galatians 3:20; Matthew 19:17; Matthew 23:9; Romans 3:30; 1 Corinthians 8:4,6; 1 Timothy 2:5; James 2:19; Ephesians 4:6).

Galatians 3:20
Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one (heis).

1 Timothy 2:5
For there is one (heis) God, and one (heis) mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

1 Corinthians 8:4,6
As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one(heis).
6But to us there is but one (heis) God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one (heis) Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

According to the scriptures, God is one (heis) by himself, and the man Jesus Christ is the one (heis) mediator between God and men. There is one (heis) God, the Father. There is one (heis) Lord Jesus Christ.

John 10:30
30 I and my Father are one.

John 10:30  does not state, "I and my Father are one God". The term used is "hen". God is one (heis). The Father and his Son are one (hen). This form (hen) is never at anytime used to describe the one God himself being one. " Hen" is neuter singular it is referring to something that is neither masculine or feminine. So God is one (heis) and Jesus Christ our Lord is the one (heis) mediator, and they are together one (hen).
Heis is never at anytime used to describe the one Spirit. The neuter form is used, being neither masculine or feminine. (1 Corinthians 12:11,13; Ephesians 4:4)

Notice also...the Comma Johanneum: 1 John 5:7. Consider that  God is "heis". The neuter form is used in 1 John 5:7, therefore it is not stating that the three are one God. Please note that "hen" is used to describe the Spirit, the water, and the blood being one in agreement. 1 John 5:7 could only be stating at best that the three subjects are one in agreement, but not one in being, because God is "heis", God is not "hen". Only one is truly God, and that is the Father of our Lord Jesus- John 17:3, 1 Thessalonians 1:9-10.

John 10:30

In his prayer to the only true God in John 17, he prayed that they, his disciples, would be one as he and his Father are one. In the same way that they are one, his disciples could be one (John 17:20-23). In John 10:30-36, he did not state that he and his Father are one person, or one God, but he said, "I and my Father are one". He was claiming to be the son of God, and mentioned how the Father called others gods, whom the word of God came to, and the scriptures cannot be broken (ref. Psalm 45/Hebrews 1:8-9, Psalm 82). He said, "If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not". In Matthew 27:43 they didn't think that Jesus was claiming to be God, by saying he is the son of God, but they believed that he trusted God by saying such. They were aware that he was not claiming to be the Living God, who Jesus believes is his own God- John 20:16-17. They believed that he was making himself a king by saying he was the son of God as demonstrated in John 19:7-12 (Ex:John 1:49, Luke 1:32-33, John 18:36, Matthew 19:28, Matthew 25:31, Acts 2:29-32, Isaiah 11).

Consider that Paul and Apollos are said to be one, and they are two different beings (1 Corinthians 3:5-11). They were called one, because they were both laborers together with God, and were working with each other of the same purpose. Considering John 10:30, Jesus did not seek his own will, he sought the Father's will only (John 5:30; John 8:29).  Jesus came in the name of his Father, who is the Living God, and not in his own authority, or else they would have received him (John 5:43, John 8:42). Jesus did the works of his Father, rather the Father did the works in Jesus. (John 10:37-38, John 8:24-29; 2 Corinthians 5:19). Acts of the Apostles states that God did mighty works, wonders, and signs by the man Jesus (Acts 2:22; Acts 10:38), for God was with Jesus. If they received Jesus then they received the one who sent him- Matthew 10:40, Mark 9:37, Luke 4:16-21. Jesus' doctrine wasn't his, but it was his Father's who sent him- Deuteronomy 18:15-18. Jesus did not speak of himself, his doctrine was of God (John 7:15-17). Jesus referred to himself as a man that heard the truth from God, and he said he was taught of the Father and could do nothing of himself (John 8:24,28,40). Jesus and his Father are definitely one, and Jesus always does the things that please his Father and God(John 8:28-29; John 12:49-50; John 15:10).

Jesus and his Father are one "hen"- John 10:30, and the Father is greater than Jesus, and is his God. (John 14:28; John 20:17; 1 Corinthians 11:3; Ephesians 1:3,17). God is one "heis" according to the scriptures  (Mark 12:29-32; 1 Corinthians 8:4,6; Galatians 3:20; 1 Timothy 2:5- please study the Greek in these verses). God is not three in one "hen".

1 John 5:20

1 John 5:20
20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

  It is noticeable that the one that is true in 1 John 5:20 has a Son named Jesus, who is the Christ. This is seen because it says, "and we are in Him that is true, even in His Son...". There is one God. Jesus is the Son of God. The verse is telling us that Jesus has given us an understanding so that we may know him that is true, and the him that is true is his Father. By mentioning that Jesus is the Son of the one that is true, it goes on to confirm that, "This is the true God, and eternal life". This observation coincides without contradiction with John 17:1,3, where Jesus is praying to the Father and refers to him as the only true God, and refers to himself as the one that the only true God, his Father, has sent. Both 1 John 5:20 and John 17:1,3 harmonize profusely with 1 Thessalonians 1:9-10, where the living and true God is the Father of Jesus (the one who raised him from the dead):

1 Thessalonians 1:9-10
9 For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;
10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

It would not make sense for 1 John 5:20 to be speaking of Jesus as the true God, when he, Jesus, is the living and true God's Son, according to his own perspective, and the perspective of the apostles (Ephesians 1:3,17; John 17:1,3; John 14:28; John 20:17).

It should be taken into account that Jesus gave us an understanding about God, who according to John 1:18 no one has ever seen. Jesus declared God, notice in John 1:18 that it was not stating that Jesus was declaring himself. Jesus stated that the one who sent him is "true". It should be noted that John 8 gives this information clarity. Jesus tells them that he that sent him is true, and goes on to reiterate that he was speaking to the world those things which he heard from the one who is true that sent him. Then in another verse he clarifies who the one that is true that sent him is, and of course the one Jesus was referring to was God. Again coinciding perfectly with John 17:1,3 because Jesus was sent by the only true God, his Father.

John 8:26,40
I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.
40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.

So in summary we are in the true God (the Father), by being in his Son Jesus Christ. If we are in the church we are the "body of Christ", which is a habitation of God through the Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12:27; Ephesians 4:12; Ephesians 2:22; Colossians 2:9; 1 Corinthians 11:3; Ephesians 5:22-33).

John 17:22-23
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

It is by Jesus that we have access to the Father, who is the only true God (Ephesians 2:13-22; Ephesians 1:17-23; 1 Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 7:24-28; John 14:6; 1 John 5:11; John 3:16; John 6:29;)
